BIOGRAPHY:
Stopping at nothing in their quest to make rock the irresistible art it once was, The Tyres have been mixing metal and melody in the greater Detroit area for three years now. Standing on the shoulders of Rock Giants ranging from The Kinks to Pavement to Black Sabbath, The Tyres have created a unique blend of hard rock and pleasant pop, with a dash of Zappa and Ween-esque absurdity just to keep things lively.

The Tyres have played nearly a hundred shows in their hometown of Windsor, Ontario and the surrounding counties, including an appearance at the 2001 Fantastic Pop Festival, which brought acts from all over Canada to Windsor's historic Capital Theatre. One of their proudest achievements was holding a very successful benefit for the World Wildlife Fund, in October 2001, honouring a high school friend who had lost his life.

After bumping into each other in various bands throughout their teens the three decided to join forces. They've been together for over three years now, and they've built up an archive of almost twenty original songs, ten of which will appear on their forthcoming album.

Sessions for the band's debut effort wrapped up in the summer of 2001. Recording took place in a Toronto studio using only the highest quality analog equipment to make their vintage sound come to life. Release date has not yet been set.
