SUKUBUS IS:
Steve Hargreaves - vocals, programming

IF YOU LOVE SUKUBUS, YOU'LL LIKE THESE BANDS:
AchillesUM, Fatal Acception, The Cure, New Order, Front 242, and dramatic dancing.

BIOGRAPHY:
Sukubus began as a dark noise duo in Ontario in 1996, then a trio in 1997, then a solo act by 1998. By 2000 synth' and broken computers made Sukubus a tangible goal as a solo project.

With influences ranging form The Cure to Leonard Cohen to New Order to Nine Inch Nails, Sukubus has developed a small following in the Windsor/Detroit area since returning in 2001. In this time, sukubus has performed in England, USA, and across Canada, been featured on CBC Radio2 nationwide, and composed the score for a successful Detroit made independent film.

The present sukubus sound steals form the raw (Death 2 Yr. Dreams era), "Sonic Youth meets Skinny Puppy" sound, combined with a more electro-industrial sound, to construct a fresh and considerable more fan friendly sound. This "new" Sukubus sound allows Stephen Hargreaves (a.k.a. Sukubus) to perform live, completely solo, using the wonders of computer programming and synthesizers.

The first release from Sukubus in over 4 years is due out in the Fall of 2002, supposedly before the "Windsor DarkRave 2002"  Festival, Oct 26th 2002, featuring among others... Sukubus.
