BIOGRAPHY:
Formed in 1986, as a haven for nude art school models, and disenfranchised guitarists, LUXURY CHRIST is unabashedly living up to the reputation of its frontman (ex- Butthole Surfer), Trevor Malcolm. Trevor who was dubbed in Spin Magazine as the most hated man in America, left the buttholes in the mid 80's to return home and form LUXURY CHRIST.

Mark Gelinas provides the rhythm with his bass, while Mark Sikich hits things he's found. Along with the vocals of Nancy Drew, they secured a place among the true sound terrorists of the 90's and beyond. Now with Dolly Gelinas on rythm guitar, Pete Dominus on DRUMS and Jinneanne Lapczuk yelling at the audience, LUXURY CHRIST projects a sensibility somewhere between an
Opera composed out of the Assembly manual for a gas Barbeque, A KISS Tribute
band competition, an Abba reunion, and The Residents - combining loud messy singing, high energy guitar power and a "bereft of reason" pop inventiveness.

Developed throughout and extensive period of live performances, LUXURY CHRIST have built a following that has taken them from local lowlife dives to tours of Canada and U.S. cities. Anyone who has seen LUXURY CHRIST will attest to their twisted show sense; all of their gigs are consistently different. Alumni of the band make frequent guest appearances with them and
the band is renown for re-inventing itself every few years. Luxury Christ is currently getting ready for a new season with NEW aarangements, vocalists, guitar players (that's MORE- not replace) and a whole new plot to take over the music scene. STAY TUNED.
