BIOGRAPHY:
As well, the photography for the album and the
liner note's layouts were tasks never handled by the band before. It was
a quick education in graphic design and budgeting.
With the album complete, liner notes looking beautiful and the concert one week away the band practiced harder than anytime before. Determined to make an impact on anyone that came to see the show.
'Down on the Corner' was on August 17th, 2002 it was an overwhelming success and Foreign Film Star debuted their entire album live for the city to see. The performance was full of released tension and gratification. The band proved to themselves that they could make it work, and to everyone at the show.
The Rock 95.1FM soon after began playing the band's first single 'Almost Touching' which was one of the four songs written two weeks before entering the studio back in July.
Since August the band has continued to write with hopes of finding support from a major label. The band rehearsed in October and December and now has enough new material to record a follow up to their album 'Picture Show'.
Also the band have secured their own website which they found to be a valuable asset in communication with anyone who is interested in knowing more about FFS.
There are many plans in the works, keeping in touch with the news every month.
The album has received amazing feedback from the many people that have heard it, with the most praised songs being 'Cascades', "Eversense', 'Tonight Has Passed' and 'Almost Touching'. It's a trip for the listener, that's what Foreign Film Star is about, taking you somewhere else.
